Nectarist - Bee the change

Bee the change

At Finixa, we're buzzing with excitement to partner with Nectarist to welcome our tiny, winged friends - the bees - to our headquarters.
By installing beehives, we're giving the bees a cosy place to call home while we’re supporting their populations. This is just one of the many ways we're doing our part to create a brighter, more sustainable future.

We hope to inspire others to join us in making a positive impact on the environment.

What’s up with the bees?

Bzzz Alert! Europe's bee populations are in trouble. Over the past few decades, their numbers have been dwindling at an alarming rate due to habitat loss, pesticides, and climate change. Sadly, this means that there are now 30% fewer honeybee colonies buzzing around than there used to be.

But, why should we care? Well, honeybees are not just cute and cuddly, they are super important for our planet. They help with pollination, maintain biodiversity, and even have a major impact on the economy and climate change.

So, what can we do? We at Finixa are taking steps to contribute to saving the bees by installing beehives at our headquarters. We want to help these tiny insects thrive and show everyone how easy it is to make a positive impact on the environment

Going green with our choice of wax

Ditching carnauba for an eco-friendly alternative to keep the bees and the planet thriving.
The car industry loves its shiny cars, but the secret ingredient for their gloss, carnauba wax, isn’t really sustainable. It's made from the leaves of the Carnauba palm and to get enough of it, they have to clear out rainforests. But don't worry, we've got a better idea.

Our products are all shiny and sleek but instead of carnauba wax, we use the sweet magic of beeswax. Not only is it renewable, but it won't harm any buzzy friends when produced responsibly. So let's give the bees a round of applause and choose the eco-friendly option.
Buzzing with benefits
  • Supporting Pollinator Populations:

Bees have a super important job - they're pollination superheroes.
These tiny creatures help make sure that crops like fruits, veggies, and nuts can keep on growing, year after year. Without them, our food supply would be in trouble.

That's why we're teaming up to save the bees!
We want to do our part to help these hard-working insects stick around and keep doing what they do best.

  • Improving Biodiversity:

Bees are like little pollination superheroes, going from flower to flower, spreading pollen, and making plants happy. They keep the plant party going by ensuring genetic diversity, which is crucial for a thriving ecosystem.

That's why we've invited the bees to set up shop at our office - it's not only a fun addition to the workspace, but it also helps boost biodiversity in the area.

  • Providing Honey:

Depending on the beehive and the weather, we might just get to taste the sweet rewards of our hardworking buzzy buddies.

And with the help of local honey-making experts 'Nectarist', our office honey production is sure to be a success.

  • Encouraging Employee Engagement:

By setting up beehives at the office, we're giving our employees a chance to learn about these incredible creatures and their impact on the world around us.

Not only does this create a buzz of knowledge and community in the workplace, but it also shows our commitment to sustainability and being eco-friendly.

Hive five!

  • Demonstrating Environmental Responsibility:

With beehives buzzing away at our office, we're sending a sweet message of eco-friendliness and taking action to create a brighter future.

Not only that, but we're raising buzz about bees and reminding everyone how important they are to our planet's health.

How does this work?

We've got some space at our headquarters surrounded by lush greenery and we're not about to let it go to waste.
That's why we teamed up with the pros at Nectarist. These beekeeping experts have been around in the business for a while and they've got the skills to keep our hives happy and healthy.

Every other week, they'll drop by for a check-up and make sure everything's in tip-top shape.
If there's ever a problem, they'll jump right on it.

What’s our deal?

We're overflowing with excitement to bring some new tenants to our headquarters. Bees are essential to our neighbourhood, and by installing beehives, we're doing our part to save them and make our world greener. Let's join forces for a brighter future. Together, every tiny step adds up to a big impact.

PS. If you’re wondering what you can do to help as an individual, here are some tips:
  • Plant pollinator-friendly plants
  • Do at least 1 month of no mowing the lawn (spring or summer)
  • Reduce pesticide use in your garden
  • Buy honey from local or sustainable bee keepers
